TW Steel Hails BASELWORLD Success

Lifestyle Brand Celebrates Annual Swiss Showcase AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS (MARCH 16, 2012))
BASELWORLD continues to be the annual showpiece for the watch industry and as the Swiss-based event concluded on Thursday 15th March, TW Steel, the lifestyle brand ‘Big in Oversized Watches’ exits with nothing but positive reviews of its latest collections moving forward into 2012.
‘The Watch in Steel’, making its fourth consecutive appearance at BASELWORLD, used this year’s event to launch several new watches including its new six-model Swiss Made editions as well as the CEO Diver Multi-Function Automatics, featuring the use of a new state-of-the-art movement from Miyota – the Cal.9100.
David Coulthard, an ambassador for the brand since 2010, was also on-hand to unveil his new CEO Diver Swiss Automatic Limited Edition. Having enjoyed a prominent Formula One career, David’s new timepiece is limited to just 492 executions – the number coming from 13 wins, 62 podiums, 12 pole positions and a total of 241 races starts with 164 finishes throughout his time racing for Williams, McLaren and Red Bull Racing.
Coulthard was the guest of honour at TW Steel’s distributor party at the stand in Hall 1.1 in last Saturday evening, the Scot jetting into the event before getting ready to fly to Australia for this weekend’s season-opening Grand Prix where he works with BBC TV.
TW Steel’s own links to Formula One were again on display at BASELWORLD as the Lotus F1 Team showcar took centre stage at the stand. Entering its third season as ‘Official Timing Partner’ to the team, TW Steel continues to utilize its relationship with the team as a global marketing platform with this year’s driver line-up an all-new affair featuring 2007 Formula One World Champion, Finland’s Kimi Raikkonen, partnered by France’s Romain Grosjean.
