Named Chief Operating Officer - Asia Pacific & Chief Advisor for TW Steel

TW Steel, the Dutch brand ‘Big in Oversized Watches’, is pleased to announce the internal promotion of Scott Patchett to the roles of Chief Operating Officer – Asia Pacific and Chief Advisor for TW Steel Group BV.
The 38-year-old Australian holds the role, and will continue to do so, of Managing Director of TW Steel Australasia, having been appointed in May 2010 to manage the development of the lifestyle brand from the company’s Sydney-based office.
Since this time Patchett has increased both the sales and the retail opportunities for TW Steel across the region while working with the likes of Australian sporting legend, five-time MotoGP Champion Mick Doohan, as a brand ambassador to further the reach of ‘The Watch in Steel’.
“Scott has done a phenomenal job building TW Steel in Australia,” commented Jordy Cobelens, TW Steel’s Chief Executive Officer. “His initial appointment was part of our commitment to further establish the brand in Australasia. In his new role, he’s tasked with managing all operations for TW Steel within the Asia Pacific region, spending his time between our regional offices in both Sydney and Hong Kong.”
Cobelens continued; “Scott’s knowledge of the watch industry, as well as his enthusiasm, has proved invaluable and as such we will be further utilizing his experience in his additional capacity as a Chief Advisor for the TW Steel Group. It’s a truly exciting time as we continue our global growth and it’s thanks to the dedication and hard work applied by the likes of Scott that we’ve continued to grow.”

Patchett, a 15-year veteran of the watch and jewellery industry, dramatically increased revenue for TW Steel while successfully establishing one of the brand’s first international subsidiaries. In addition he oversaw the development of TW Steel’s brand positioning using the likes of Mick Doohan’s partnership as well as through the Australian Grand Prix with TW Steel’s role as ‘Official Timing Partner’ to Lotus F1 Team.
