Oversized Watch Brand Showcases Slender Look
Amsterdam, The Netherlands (March 11, 2014) – TW Steel, the global lifestyle brand that continues to redefine the boundaries for oversized timepieces, is proud to unveil its latest range, the 10-model Slim Line Collection.
Firmly embracing the brand's mantra of being 'Big in Oversized Watches', this desirable new series features slimmer 45mm cases with a simple but classically appealing style.
Designed to appeal to the consumer seeking a smarter, more formal look, the Slim Line timepieces are the perfect accompaniment to a designer suit or a sleek business look, with the watch able to nestle comfortably and subtly alongside any smart shirt.
Very much in style, these pieces sacrifice nothing in terms of TW Steel's proud heritage of offering big, bold statement making executions, but they cleverly combine the appeal of an oversized watch with a stylish and slender case.
The Slim Line range is comprised of 10 executions, available only in 45mm dimension, with either steel or A-grade PVD rose gold plated cases. All models utilize a Miyota 1S13 slim movement housed in a case which features a shine finish, adding an additional visual appeal to these sleek and slender new pieces.
In March, six of the new additions, TW1300 to TW1305, will be introduced. They sport a stylish turn edge leather croco-print strap, with the familiar two dots amended in position and size slightly in keeping with the slender design.
TW1306 and TW1307 feature steel bracelets while TW1308 and TW1309 are presented with steel bracelets resplendent in A-grade PVD rose gold plating. These models will be introduced in April and May.
All models in the Slim Line collection feature sapphire crystal while additional highlights of the new range include the use of sunray dials, with matching hands and numbers, all with a shine finish in keeping with the cases. Each model is 5 ATM water resistant.
"I think it was important for us, as a brand, to be able to offer a collection of models that are more directly suited for formal, business or dress attire," stated TW Steel's Chief Design Officer, Ton Cobelens. "In order to do that a slim watch was the only option as functionality becomes a priority for the wearer, in particular the need to have a timepiece that fits well on the wrist and equally under a shirt.
"The Slim Line collection fits this mandate perfectly with each design distinctively a TW Steel, with their 45mm sizing, but on-trend with a slim, elegant case. I purposely took a 'less is more' approach and I think each watch boasts a classic look with a simple but refined style. They'll look great worn with smart, designer suits or even for someone who wants to sport a smart-casual look with a nice crisp shirt."
Pricing for the Slim Line collection ranges from €279 to €399 / $389 US to $559.
