Canteen Automatic Models Launched by TW Steel

TW Steel’s popular Canteen Style collection has been further bolstered with the introduction of the first two Canteen Automatic editions – with further models being introduced later in the year.
Sporting a brand new bezel and crown cap design, to distinguish them from the three-hand quartz models, the new Canteen Automatic timepieces, available in 45mm (TWA200) and 50mm (TWA201) editions, also feature a new dial layout with more rounded numbers and indexes.
The Canteen Automatic’s feature a Miyota 8215 movement with a crystal case back. TW Steel has also developed its own rotor (Genova pattern) with the company’s famous two-dots logo engraved on it for additional brand identity. The movement will also sport a black date disk.
One of the most striking features of the new Canteen Automatic editions is the hammered steel bezel, with the crown cap and clasp also showcasing the same effect. To add further distinction to these impressive new designs, the TW monogram on the hook has been punched out, once again displaying TW Steel’s passion for detailing in its timepieces.
“With the launch of the Canteen Automatic range I really believe we’re taking the Canteen Style to a whole new level,” enthused Ton Cobelens, TW Steel’s Chief Design Officer. “The detail in these watches is simply exceptional, highlighted by the use of the hammered steel bezel, something that we’ve then replicated on both the crown cap and also the strap clasp to maintain a uniform look and feel. Ultimately, by introducing an Automatic edition into the Canteen Style family, we’re adding even greater appeal to the collection.”
The new Canteen Automatic watches feature straps boasting a new clasp, using sandblasted steel, the same as the hook crown cap. A final feature to highlight is the use of raised printed numbers and indexes with the numbers on the dial using the same colour as the stitching on the strap.
A family-owned company, headed by 29-year-old Chief Executive Officer and co-owner, Jordy Cobelens, TW Steel enjoys a reputation as an innovative and bold lifestyle brand available in over 85 countries worldwide.
