TW Steel Celebrates Autosport Awards Evening

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS (DECEMBER 6, 2011)
The international motorsport community assembled once again in London on Sunday night, 4th December, for the glittering Autosport Awards with TW Steel once more enjoying its status as the ‘Official Watch Partner’ to the prestigious affair, hosted at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane.
A host of TW Steel’s brand ambassadors and friends were present on the night including Grand Prix winner David Coulthard, four-time IndyCar Series Champion Dario Franchitti, IndyCar ‘Rookie of the Year’ James Hinchcliffe and finally BBC F1 reporter Lee McKenzie.
The evening’s biggest prize, the ‘McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year’, went to 19-year-old Oliver Rowland.
The Formula Renault UK runner-up beat out five other finalists for the prize package which, in addition to winning his own TW135 Grandeur Tech edition, included a cheque for £100,000 and a test in a McLaren Formula One car.
‘The Watch in Steel’ gifted all six finalists competing in the coveted ‘McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award’ with their own TW821 ‘Cool Black’ watch from its Canteen Style collection.
TW Steel, in its capacity as ‘Official Watch Partner’ to the Autosport Awards, enjoyed prominent branding on the night in addition to inviting a variety of guests, hosted at the TW Steel table by the brand’s 29-year-old Chief Executive Officer and co-owner, Jordy Cobelens.
